Issue Metric Panel

HeyQL Metrics adds a new panel to supported issues. It's called "Metric" and its position is between JIRA's button panel and the details area.

All information regarding your metric are shown inside this panel.

The panel itself contains five tabs:

  • Chart
  • Table
  • Downloads (if activated by admin)
  • Statistics
  • Support

Chart tab

The chart tab shows an interactive chart of your metric. You can zoom in and out. And if the mouse is moved over a metric point, you get detailed information about this point (timestamp and value).

If you used areas and lines, these are also shown in the chart tab.

Table tab

The table tab shows the same metric as the chart, but as a table.

The row of a metric point is colored automatically if the point lies inside a defined area.

Download tab

Inside the download tab you can get a copy of your metric in different formats and styles. If possible, the downloadable file looks exactly like the related tab. For instance a download of a chart as jpeg looks like the chart in the chart tab (including areas, lines, title and co.).

You are also able to get a link to the related file. This link is always up to date and shows the laste metric data.
So it is very easy to show your metric on different places like websites, confluence, Excel and more.

Statistic tab

This tabs shows a bunch of calculated values of your metric. For instance you can get the mean value or the highest value of the last week.

You can use these values a search parameter in JIRA's issue navigator. The needed jql name is also mentioned here.

Configuration Tab

All configruation for a metric can be done inside the Configuration tab. There you set a custom summary, add lines and areas and configure automated importers.

Support tab

The support tab shows the fastest way to get in contact with us. It shows helpful links to documentation and our issue tracker.
