HeyQL Metrics supports the download and integration of your metrics in different styles and formats.

Requirements

• The download functionality must have been activated in the Configuration of HeyQL for JIRA

Download Tab

In the Download tab you can see a matrix on which all supported formats are on the left side and the styles are on the top.

You need to combine style and format to find the related download or integration button.

Downloads

By clicking a download button your browser gets directed to a download URL and starts the download.

Depending on your browser and the selected format, the requested file may be opened and shown by your browser instead of downloading it to your preferred download location.

The link location is only valid as long as you logged in into JIRA.
So you should not use these links to integrate them in external tools. This is supported by integration links only. 

Integration

By clicking an integration button, a popup is shown, which contains an URL. This URL contains an API key and therefore can be used in external tools like Confluence, Excel, websites and more.

This API key is valid for all of your metrics. So if someone knows this key and the storage location of a metric, he or she is able to download the related metric.

The advantage of an integration link is:

• The link is always valid (as long as the api key is not regenerated)
• The link gives you access to the latest values of a metric.
